Evergreen Loses Two Conference Games to NAIA Ranked Teams

Ashland, OR - The 20th-ranked in the NAIA Southern Oregon volleyball team won its 10th straight match tonight with a 25-11, 25-12, 25-14 over Evergreen tonight at McNeal Pavilion. Evergreen played and lost to NAIA #26 Oregon Tech (25-14, 25-20, 25-9) Friday night in Klamath Falls.
With the victory, SOU is now 13-7 overall and 11-1 in Cascade Conference play. Evergreen dropped to 2-16 overall and 1-11 in conference play.
Senior Mia Wortel and freshman Kalista Harrison led the Raiders with eight kills each. Wortel finished with zero errors for an attack percentage of .667 and five blocks.
Harrison, playing in her first action after breaking a finger, had just two errors and an attack percentage of .429. Junior setter Lindsey Stone finished with 31 assists and sophomore libero Maggie Rivers finished with 10 digs.
As a team, the Raiders finished with 17 blocks in the match. SOU also finished with a .325 attack percentage, including hitting .571 in the second set.
Hailey Harris led Evergreen with eight kills. Libero Ann Forman had 2 assists and 10 defensive digs, Katie Huston had 16 assists and 2 service aces while Jessica Dubois added 6 kills for the Geoducks.
Evergreen hosts Concordia University Friday night at 7 PM.
