PORTLAND, Ore. – Evergreen wrapped up their 2007 season tonight in Portland, OR losing to Cascade College 30-18, 30-17, 31-29.

Three Evergreen players earned career highs in tonights match. Kandice Gleaves (So, N. Thurston HS) tallied a kills tonight with 16. Gleaves was followed by Freshman Sabrina Tan (Bainbridge HS) who had a best of 13 kills and added 6 defensive digs. Setter Katie Huston (Fr, Bellevue HS) surpassed her season high in set assists with 25 total.

For the Cascade Thunderbirds, Meagan Stanley and Amanda Cochran each had 10 kills. Setter Claire Van Meer totaled 37 assists for the night.

Friday night Evergreen lost to Warner Pacific 30-21, 30-15, 30-16. Gleaves stands out as one of the harder working attackers in the conference, scoring 13 kills in that game.

Their final game marks what has been a challenging season for the Geoducks. The team went 0-20 overall, the most loses in a season for any Evergreen team. Despite this the team never threw in the towel, or let their opponents off easy, at any time during the season.

Playing with six team members and not a single substitution the entire season, the volleyball team and coaches have much to be proud of.
