PORTLAND, Ore. - Behind a career-high hitting percentage from Concordia University freshman Nancy Burrows, the Cavaliers swept The Geoducks 3-0 (30-13, 30-18, 30-12) in Cascade Collegiate Conference action on Oct. 19.

With the loss, Evergreen State fell to 0-13 on the season. While Concordia moved to 13-10 on the year and 8-5 in conference play.

In the opener, the Geoducks held an early 9-6 advantage before the Cavaliers rallied for 24 of the next 28 points. Squared at 14 in the second game, Concordia pulled away with 11 of the game’s final 12 points with CU's Erika Doremus claiming three late kills while Burrows led the charge in the final game with seven of the team’s 20 kills.  

The Geoducks were paced with 11 assists by Katie Huston and six kills and 14 digs by Sabrina Tan.

Burrows led the Cavaliers with 12 kills and a career-high .409 hitting percentage. Teammate Raluca Dinca added a match-high 16 kills.

Evergreen plays Corban College tonight in Salem, OR at 7 PM.
