LA GRANDE, OR - Friday night Evergreen lost to the number one team in the Cascade Conference, Albertson College of Idaho, 3-0.

Game scores of 12-30, 12-30, 8-30 showed the dominance of the Albertson program who heavy-handed the six member Geoduck squad.

ESC's leader in kills, Natasha Taito (FR, Shelton, WA), did not play in weekend games due to illness. Returning to the '07 team in her first games of the season is '06 team member Leah Kronenberg (SO, San Francisco, CA)

Tonight, the Eastern Oregon University Volleyball team (5-3, 7-6 CCC) completed the tail end of a weekend sweep Saturday night with a convincing 3-0 win over the Evergreen squad (0-7, 0-7 CCC).

The Geoducks, traveling with just six players, could not match the depth of the Mountaineer team as EOU won the first game 30-10 and never looked back.

Evergreen managed just 12 points in the second game but did rally to score 19 in the finale.

Kandice Gleaves (SO, Olympia, WA) led the Geoducks with 11 kills and 8 digs. Katie Huston was credited with 20 set assists.

Eastern's attack sophomore Grace Deboodt who finished the three games with 17 kills. Alissa Clinton and Chelsea Herron dished out 21 and 17 assists respectively.

Evergreen next two games again are on the road beginning with a short trip to Kirkland, WA October 2nd to play Northwest University.
