Volleyball ends home season with a strong win |

October 28, 2006 OLYMPIA, Wash. - Evergreen volleyball capped off their home season tonight with a 3-0 win over Cascade College. The final home game of each sport at Evergreen has traditionally been designated as "Senior Day". Volleyball team members Emily Peterson and Tiffany Stewart were honored before the start of tonight's game to recognize their contribution to the volleyball team. Peterson has played four years for the Geoducks. Peterson showed her experience by scoring 17 kills to lead the Geoduck squad. Chelsea Jacobson tallied 20 set assists and 8 kills in the game. Evergreen swept all three games with scores of 30-9, 30-17, 30-17. Friday night Evergreen lost to Warner Pacific College 1-4. This weekend Evergreen heads to Oregon to play two very strong teams. They will be at Oregon Tech on Friday and Southern Oregon University on Saturday.
