OLYMPIA , Wash. , - Weekend Volleyball action began Friday night with Evergreen hosting NAIA number eleven ranked Albertson College of Idaho and ended Saturday night in a game against Easter Oregon University.

Friday nights match versus Albertson was tough for the Geoducks as they adjusted their play to fend off the attacking Coyotes. The Coyotes (14-2, 8-0) had an easy time in Game 1, but the Geoducks hung tough in the final two games.

Albertson's Katie Hogue led the way with 12 kills and NAIA Setter of the Week Erin Cherrington had 45 assists, as ACI ran its CCC win streak to eight with a 30-9, 30-27, 30-20 in tonight's victory.

Emily Peterson had 6 kills as the team leader for Evergreen. Libero Ann Foreman had 17 digs.

On Saturday, Evergreen had a closer game against Eastern Oregon but lost 30-28, 30-27, 30-19.

Geoduck Ashley Carver led Evergreen in assists with 9 and Kandice Gleaves was held to just 5 kills to lead Evergreen.

Evergreen slips to 4-13 after the weekend loses and 2-7 in the Cascade Conference.

There are two games on the schedule this weekend for Evergreen. Friday night versus Concordia University and Saturday versus Corban College .
