Two weekend losses for volleyball to prominent conference teams |

September 16, 2006 Olympia, Wash. . – Women's volleyball lost a pair of matches this weekend to traditionally strong Cascade Conference teams. On Friday night the Geoducks faced the Raiders of Southern Oregon University. Southern Oregon was the clear favorite hitting at .209 while Evergreen was at .049 for the match. The Raiders almost doubled the number of kills by recording 49 kills to Evergreen's 29 kills in the match. Evergreen's offense was led by Emily Peterson who had seven kills and two service aces. Ann Forman tallied a match high of 20 digs to spark the Evergreen defense. Evergreen volleyball slips to a season record of 1-10 after tonights loss to Oregon Tech. OIT's tall front line scored 59 kills in the match to Evergreen's 19. Evergreen will be on the road next week, playing Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon on the 22nd.
