Newcomer, Ashley Carver

The 5'5 Forman earned all-conference volleyball honors and was named to the Greater St. Helens 3A League second team for the league and district championship in volleyball. She has a 3.6 grade point average and is heavily involved in extracurricular activities at R.A. Long., Forman also competes in basketball and golf. Forman was also junior class president before being elected student-body president.

Coach Lash Comments: "Annie is a winner; she has such a great positive spirit as she raises the level of the teammates around her. Annie will immediately improve the ball control and defense of the Geoducks, as she has such a great experience base to draw from. A libero with great movement in the backcourt, and great ball control skills. She is an accomplished passer, and she is a very aggressive defensive player.

Carver, a 5'8 setter, has all the physical tools you like to see in a player- size, mobility, and technique. We are thrilled that Ashley has chosen Evergreen as her college, said ESC head coach Bill Lash. We know that we are getting a very high quality person and an excellent player in her. She has had a good high school career and club preparation that will make her ready to compete. "Carver will help us move closer to our goal of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship. She has the emotional make up needed to "run the show" from the setters spot, added Lash.
