Newcomer, Alysse Eaton

OLYMPIA, Wash.--Evergreen State College volleyball coach, Bill Lash, announced Monday that Alysse Eaton has signed a letter of intent to play for the Geoducks next season.

The 5-foot-7 Eaton was a three year letter winner and team captain her senior year at Shelton High School while playing for head coach Steve Beck.  She was on the Climbers' Honor Roll 2002-2006 and a member of the Honor Society 2004-2006.

Coach Beck: Alysse Eaton is a great "team" player.  Her personality and work ethic brings out the best in others.  Her consistent passing is what gets an offense up and rolling.  She can make setters and hitters looks good both on serve receive and with her floor defense.

Coach Lash Comments: "Alysse is a libero with great movement in the backcourt, and great ball control skills. She is an accomplished passer, and she is a very aggressive defensive player. We believe she is going to step into the libero position immediately, Alysse has a feisty personality on the court, and is not afraid of a challenge."
