Geoducks Fall Twice at Home

Olympia, WA - The Evergreen State College volleyball team dropped two home matches this weekend to extend its conference skid to five games. The Geoducks lost to Eastern Oregon University in four games Friday night in a tight battle 29-31, 30-27, 28-30, 30-32.
Evergreen hosted Albertson College on Saturday. The 'Yotes came to Olympia as the conference's third-place team, but the Geoducks didn't let Albertson out of Olympia without a fight. Albertson claimed the first two game of the match 30-20 and 30-24 before Evergreen grabbed the third game 30-23. However Albertson responded with a dominating performance in the fourth game 30-12 to end the match.
The losses drop Evergreen to 2-10 on the year. Eastern Oregon moves to 5-8 in conference play while Albertson is 10-3 in conference and 14-4 overall.
The Geoducks have a four-game road swing before returning to Olympia for the final home games of the season November 4th against Corban College and November 5th against Concordia University. Both matches start at 7:00 p.m.
