OLYMPIA, WA -- Northwest University kept The Evergreen State College winless in Cascade Collegiate Conference women's volleyball with a 30-17, 30-14, 30-21 victory Wednesday night at the College Recreation Center gym.

Led by Lisa Langmade, who recorded seven kills and 10 service aces, Northwest broke away early and the Geoducks never made a serious run as they dropped to 0-3, all in conference matches. Evergreen will play its first non-conference games this weekend in the University of Montana-Northern tournament in Dillon.

Wednesday, the Geoducks trailed just 12-9 in the first game when Langmade went to the service line and pounded out five consecutive aces. Evergreen was never close again until it closed to 10-9 in the third game, but saw that threat fade as well.

Meredith Lane led Evergreen with six kills while Kelly Clarke paced Northwest with 13.
