LA GRANDE, OR -- Eastern Oregon University handed the Geoducks a 3-1 loss tonight in women's volleyball as Evergreen looked to build on last weekend's tournament win at Walla Walla. But the conference woes continued for Evergreen who played without senior middle blocker Meredith Lane.

The Mountaineers took the first two games by identical scores of 30-25 behind the hitting of Kaki McLean who had 19 kills on the night. Evergreen battled back in the third game with a 30-28 win. But the Geoducks could not hold on to the momentum and Eastern Oregon closed out the match 30-21.

Freshmen Stephanie Jackson and Emily Peterson were the statistical leaders for Evergreen with 10 and 13 kills respectively. Senior setter Hanna Plunk tossed up 29 assists on the night.

The win moves the Mountaineers to 3-13 overall and 3-9 in conference, while Evergreen drops to 6-14 overall and 1-10 in conference.

Evergreen will finish the weekend tomorrow at Albertson College.
