CALDWELL, ID -- Revenge has been the theme this weekend. After taking care of Northwest on Friday night, Albertson downed Evergreen 3-1 Saturday night at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. Evergreen defeated Albertson in five games earlier this season in Olympia.

Senior outside hitter Kristyn Price again lead the way with 23 kills for the Lady 'Yotes (10-6, 14-13). Kristin Bailey had nine kills, many at crucial moments, for Albertson. Sophomore outside hitter Lindsay Ward had one of the best games of her career, chipping in with seven kills and three defensive digs.

Evergreen gave a team effort, with three players in double digits for kills, but could not overcome the stellar blocking and defense by the Lady 'Yotes. Courtney Brandon (Pomeroy, Wa/Pomeroy H.S.) led the Geoducks with 13 kills, while Hanna Plunk (Broomfield, Co/Broomfield H.S.) and Stephanie Short (Spokane, Wa/Shadle Park H.S.) added 10 a piece.

Albertson setter Amanda Basanez dished out 42 assists and had 10 defensive digs. Price also had 10 digs for the 'Yotes, and needs just 15 kills to become the first player in Albertson history to have 2,000 in a career.

The Geoducks will close out the 2002 season at home. Friday (Nov 8) they host Oregon Tech and Saturday (Nov 9) Southern Oregon will grace College Recreation Center on the campus of Evergreen State College. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.

Geoduck Sports will be broadcast both game live via Web Streaming, air time 6:30 p.m.
