OLYMPIA, WA -- The battle was tough all night long, the first game went to the Geoducks (3-6, 1-5) 33-31. The next two games were played close as well. The fourth and final game was all OIT though.

Evergreen attacked the net hard all night, but OIT (6-5, 4-5) had an answer for most of the Geoducks attempts. The Owls had 49 digs in the match to go along with 41 blocks. The Owl defense along with Evergreen errors kept the last three games just out of reach for the Geoducks. Evergreen committed 28 attacking errors in the contest.

Evergreen sophomore Stephanie Short (Spokane, Wash./ Spokane Falls CC) led the Geoducks with 16 kills and six blocks. Geoduck junior Courtney Brandon (Pomeroy, Wash. / Walla Walla CC) added 14 kills to go along with six blocks.

The Geoducks were down early in the fourth game 26-13 and tried to make a late rally and got the score to 26-20 before the Owls closed the door.

Evergreen will be at home on Friday to play host to Southern Oregon. The game will start at 7:00 p.m.
