OLYMPIA, WA -- Evergreen dominated a young Walla Walla team to win their second game in a row. The Geoducks never trailed the Wolves at any point during the match.

The Wolves could not stop junior Courtney Brandon (Pomeroy, Wash. / Walla Walla CC), she had 13 kills to go along with four solo blocks and assisted on four others. The six-footer used her height and athletic ability to simply dominate the net.

Evergreen (2-3, 1-2) attacked the net from all different angles. Sophomore Stephanie Short (Spokane, Wash./ Spokane Falls CC) and junior Anna Murray (Olympia, Wa./ St. Martin's) added eight kills apiece to keep the Wolves guessing all night. The Geoducks also saw offense from their freshman setter Hanna Plunk (Broomfield, Colo./ Broomfield HS) who had seven service aces to go along with 28 assists.

Walla Walla struggled on both offense and defense against a more experienced team. The Wolves have six freshman, three sophomores and only one upperclassman, a junior. The Geoducks relied on power, athleticism and experience to get the victory.

Evergreen will take to the road on Thursday as these two teams play again in Walla Walla at 7:00 p.m. After that game the Geoducks will make the trip over to Albertson College (Idaho) on Friday and then to Eastern Oregon Univeristy on Saturday, the two games are at 7:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.
