OLYMPIA, WA -- The Geoducks let the first game get away from them, but from the start of the second game until the final point, Evergreen (6-9, 4-8) dominated the Knights (1-17, 0-14).

The Geoducks won their sixth match of the season, 27-30, 30-19, 30-19, 30-21. Evergreen was in control most of the evening, not allowing Warner Pacific any momentum. After losing the first game, the Geoducks came out swinging, a balanced attack, solid defense, and 16 service aces, helped the Geoducks notch the victory.

Leading the way for Evergreen was Stephanie Short (Spokane, Wash./ Spokane Falls CC) who had 15 kills, 3 service aces and 3.5 blocks. Two other Geoduck players notched double digit kills, Courtney Brandon (Pomeroy, Wash. / Walla Walla CC) and Karina Philliber (Graham, Wash. / Bethel HS), with 13 and 10 respectively.

Ariel Anderson (Graham, Wash. / Saint Martin's) led the way defensively for the Geoducks with eight digs, she also added a service ace.

Evergreen will play host to Eastern Oregon next Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
