SALEM, OR -- Evergreen started the night off with a win in the first game against Western Baptist, but lost the last three games. The Geoducks (5-9, 3-8) kept every game close, 30-23, 27-30, 30-32, 30-25, but could not overcome the powerful attack from the Warriors (12-7, 7-4).

Errors proved to be very costly for Evergreen, especially with the scores being as close as they were. The Geoducks committed 36 attacking errors in the four games, as well as ten service errors, giving the Warriors easy, unearned points.

The Geoducks were led by Stephanie Short (Spokane, Wash./ Spokane Falls CC) who had 22 kills to go along with 11 digs and two solo blocks. Courtney Brandon (Pomeroy, Wash. / Walla Walla CC) added 19 kills, but the Warriors were just too much for the Geoducks.

Evergreen will be back in action on Friday night, when they return home to play Warner Pacific College at 7:00 p.m.
