Indoor Season Wraps up for Geoducks

OLYMPIA, Wash. - The Geoducks will transition into the outdoor season as no team members advance to the Indoor National Championships. Some team members had marks just shy of the NAIA standards.

Lindsey Farah was less than 2 seconds off in the 600 meters and Brian Rakestraw was close in the 5000 meters.

Farah went to Portland Friday to compete in the Concordia-Warner Pac Mini Qualifier, a meet taking advantage of the opportunity to get indoor marks on an outdoor track. While she came up short of qualifying, Farah won the race and broke her own outdoor record by over 8 seconds running 1:42.7.

Evergreen had just a handful of team members competing during the indoor season, but a good sized team will participate beginning in mid-March.
