Ana Casillas in the 1500 meters

PORTLAND, Ore. - Evergreen State College track and field team members had top 5 finishes, including an individual win, at the Mt. Hood Community College Open Track and Field meet today.
Senior Emily Uhlig (Liberty HS) broke away from her closest competitor with a mile to go and won the women's 5000 meters in a personal best time of 19:05.9.
In the men's 400 meters, frosh Ryan Lara (Franklin Pierce HS) won his heat and finished second overall, breaking his school record set last week with a :51.06 performance. He also crunched his previous 200m best and school record with a :23.50 mark.
Ana Casillas (So, Bellarmine Prep) finished 4th in the 1500 meters. Her time of 5:08.99 was a personal best and an improvement of nine seconds
In the women's 400 meters, Lindsey Farah (Jr. Yelm HS) once again lowered her own school record with a 1:01.25 performance, finishing 5th overall. Farah also improved her 200 meter time, breaking the two year old school record with her time of :28.26.
In team competition, Evergreen State women placed 7th of 12 scoring teams. The men placed 10th of 15 scoring teams.
Evergreen will resume competition March 22nd at the Spring Break Open in Shoreline.
