Long races tonight at the Willamette Distance Carnival

SALEM, Oregon - Beginning at 4:30 PM, Evergreen will have nine entrants in tonight's Distance Carnival hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR. This years event is the biggest in it's history.

Featuring numerous heats of high quality races, the Geoducks have a great opportunity to set personal bests and maybe a national qualifying mark or two.

In the longest and first race of the day, the 10,000 meters, Diann Leo will represent in the women's race. James Hudson and Jason McConnell will take part in the men's 25 lapper.

Miguel Pineda will be in the shortest race of the night, the 1500 meters. Kelsey Blair and Emily Uhlig will have a splash in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Eric Jones, Brian Rakestraw and Kelly Beckham will be challenging their anaerobic thresholds in the men's and women's 5000 meters respectively.
