January 20, 2007 PULLMAN, Wash., - Evergreen entered two athletes in the Washington State Open Indoor Track and Field Meet Saturday. In the men's 3000 meters, Jason McConnell finished in third place running the second best time for an Evergreen runner in the Indoor event with a time of 9:55.53. Emily Uhlig placed second and established the new standard for Evergreen with her 11:15.07 on the 200 meter oval. The women's 3000 meters is an event in which Evergreen has no indoor marks on record. Emily, a transfer from Central Washington University, posted a personal best in either an indoor or outdoor race and improved her time at this race in '06 by over 40 seconds. Her season goal is to qualify for the NAIA Indoor T & F Championships in either the 3,000 or 5,000 meters. Evergreen will next send athletes to the University of Washington Open on February 11th.
