| Contact: Erik Snyder (360) 867-6537 May 27, 2006 FRESNO, Cali.—In the most grueling of track events, Evergreen's James Hudson ran a 2:58:23.85 marathon at the NAIA National Championships this weekend at Fresno State University. Arriving in Fresno with aspirations of posting an All-America time, Hudson attacked the National Championship course. But like many of his fellow racers who were aggressive in the early stages of the race, Hudson was forced to change his goal to simply finishing the event. The Evergreen sophomore succumbed to the torturous event to finish in 38th place. It it was his first attempt at the marathon distance having qualified by bettering half-marathon "A" standard.
