MacKillop comes out strong in season opener |

Contact: Erik Snyder (360) 867-6537 January 29, 2006 SEATTLE, Wash. -- Evergreen's lone entrant in today's meet at Dempsey Arena, Cayenne MacKillop, finished with a time of 20:33.17 for 5,000 meters. Her time placed her at 22nd and was a solid performance opener and her first time in a track race since being struck by a car last fall. The field had many top distance runners from Northwest DII, DIII and NAIA schools and the pace was quick at the gun. Kristi Dickey of Whitworth College finished a straight-a-way ahead of 2nd place to take the win in 17:57. Evergreen will return to Dempsey Arena on February 12th for the third University of Washington Indoor Open.
