Malcolm Dunn joined the Evergreen team in 2011, taking over the reins of the Geoduck Cross Country and Track & Field programs.  Dunn most recently coached at Saint Martin's University after five seasons as head cross country coach at Whitman College.

A 1993 graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., Dunn has extensive coaching experience on both coasts.  At Whitman, Dunn built the Missionaries into a national-caliber program, culminating in a 25th place finish by the Whitman women at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.  In addition to his head coaching experience, Dunn was also an assistant coach for the nordic ski team.  He also spent four years as West Region Representative on the NCAA DIII Track and Field Committee, as well as two years as the Chairman and Division III Representative on the NCAA Track and Field Rules Subcommittee. 

Prior to his time at Whitman, Dunn served as head men's track and field coach and assistant cross country coach at Carleton in 2004-05.  He also has collegiate experience at Smith College in Northampton, Mass., having served as head cross country coach in 1999 after two years as assistant track and field and cross country coach. 

In addition to his B.A. from Carleton, Dunn also holds an M.S. in Kinesiology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an M.S. in Exercise and Sport Studies from Smith College.
