Johnson's Goal the Game Winner Over Corban

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Geoducks remain undefeated in Cascade Conference play after Saturday's victory over Corban College at Evergreen. ESC sits in the #2 position in the CCC with a record of 2-1-1, with the two wins being CCC games.
Sophomore Corey Johnson (Mark Morris HS) had the game winning goal only nine minutes into play off of an assist by Chris Miller ( Thomas Jefferson HS). The goal was the third of the season for Johnson.
The Geoducks kept Warrior keeper Aaron Franklin busy the entire match, taking six shots on goal in the match and out-shooting Corban 20-9.
Evergreen ran into a bit of foul trouble in the game, with four yellow cards issued against team members, including a double yellow on forward Nathan Bundy (SO, Collins HS) that will sit him out of the next game with a red card suspension.
Up next for Evergreen is an road game with College of Idaho on September 26th. Game time is 4 PM Mountain zone.
