October 13, 2007 CALDWELL, Idaho - Men's soccer lost to The College of Idaho (Formerly Albertson College prior to Tuesday this past week) 2-1 in double overtime. The game was held in Caldwell, ID. The improving Geoducks, who lost to CI 4-0 earlier this season, took the Yotes into the second overtime before Albertson scored the winning goal at 104 minutes. Both Evergreen and The College of Idaho scored their first goals each on penalty kicks. ESC was first on the board following an CI foul in their own penalty area at 13 minutes in. Evergreen's Eduardo Millan took the kick and found net. It was Millan's third goal of the season. CI had their chance to tie in the second half when Evergreen fouled. Antonio Bautista scored for the Yotes. Stalnik did a great job at goal despite with 13 saves in the game. That number puts him in the Evergreen record books in the Most Saves Per Game category, taking the second position on that list. Evergreen's record (5-8-1, 4-5-1 CCC)
College of Idaho (9-4-1, 6-3-1 CCC) |
