OLYMPIA, Wash. - The Men's Soccer team lost one and won one Friday and Saturday at home. In the two Cascade Conference games ESC lost to Albertson 0-4 and defeated Cascade College 1-0. Albertson college simply outplayed Evergreen Friday, taking 9 more shots and 6 more shots on goal than the Geoducks. For Evergreen, Jesse Wheelock had the lone shot on target in the game but it was saved by 06 All-Conference keeper Jay Gentle of the Yotes. The Yotes four goals came from four different players. Jesus Lopez who headed a ball in following a long pass from Cameron Johnson, Michael Delgado booted in an assist from Kazuki Murata, Antonio Bautista showed some dribbling skills working around three Evergreen defenders plus goalie in an unassisted goal and Scott Ward scored off of Emir Kobic's corner kick. Evergreen slipped to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play following the loss. Saturday looked brighter for the Geoducks as they defeated Cascade College 1-0. Geoduck keeper, Matt Stalnik, again played a strong game as Cascade players had seven on target shots that Stalnik no-hoped. Scoring his fifth goal of the season, Evergreen's Shawn Farrow again showed his ability to use his head. Following a perfectly arching corner kick by Cody Lofquist, Farrow lept above his competitors to skull the ball into the net with authority. The win brings the team to a 2-6 overall and 1-4 conference record. The men's team has a pair of away games coming this Friday and Saturday. Traveling first to Salem, OR for a 4 PM game with Corban College and then Eugene, OR Saturday to play Northwest Christian College at 3 PM. Box Scores vs ACI vs Cascade
