SFU first to score in overtime. ESC loses 1-2

BURNABY, BC - Evergreen Men's soccer team loses to Simon Fraser University in overtime 1-2. It was a non-conference but NAIA matchup for Evergreen.
Despite SFU pounding the Evergreen goal with shots the game remained a scoreless first period. Credit Evergreen keeper Nick Tasche for saving 7 shots in the first 45 minutes.
Both teams goals all happened after 80 minutes of play in the second period.
At nearly 82 minutes of play SFU's Reece Miles scored off of his header following a rebounded shot by teammate Michael Beck.
Two minutes later Evergreen's Ryan Mulnick quickly tapped the ball into the net following a corner kick by Cody Lofquist. It was the first goal of the year for freshman Mulnick.
The game was ended only 57 seconds into overtime when Gary Badesha scored a goal after a feed from Brendan Stabeno to seal the win for the Clan.
Evergreen's record stands at 3-7 in the Conference and 4-11-1 overall.
