Tough loss to WWU in overtime |

September 11, 2006 BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- Western Freshman midfielder Sean Connor (Mount Vernon) scored 4:36 into overtime as Washington Washington University rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat The Evergreen State College, 3-2, in a non-league men's soccer contest Monday at the Whatcom Community College Soccer Complex. Evergreen State, now with a record of 1-3-1, led 2-0 at the halfway point of the match, scoring the two goals within a span of 47 seconds. Matt Curry tallied in the 25th minute, knocking in a goalkeeper save from four yards following a shot by Kyle Andrews. Sean Grisham found the net in the 26th minute on a cross from Eduardo Milan. Western's Mitch Barrows (Fr., Ferndale) and Jacob Haddock (Sr., Burlington/Burlington-Edison) each scored goals late in the second half to knot the contest at 2-2. Evergreen next plays Northwest University at home on September 19th.
