Men's soccer looks good in Cascade Conference pre-season ratings

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Evergreen Men's Soccer is near the top of the 2006 Cascade Conference Pre-Season poll that was released this morning.

Ranked third out of seven schools, Coach Purtteman will be testing his young team in its first match of the season on August 25th in a home game against Doane College (NE) at 5:00 PM

Captain Kyle Andrews (Sr) will be returning to the '06 squad and his leadership will be key. Andrews has been a leading scorer for Evergreen the past two seasons and is just one of three returners from the '05 team. Jonathan Willoughby, a top ten scorer in the conference, will again be bringing his speed to the front line.

Evergreen is currently not ranked in the top-30 of the NAIA pre-season poll. Concordia, who finished 20th in the final NAIA ratings in '05, is ranked 16th.
