Kuffler Receives Honors

OLYMPIA, Wash.-Freshman Ryan Kuffler was recognized this week as the Cascade Collegiate Conference player of the week and the NAIA Region I player of the week for his two-goal performance against NCAA Division II opponent Western Washington on Sunday.

Evergreen downed the Vikings 4-2 with Kuffler scoring the first and last goals of the match. Kuffler's goals were his first two strikes as a Geoduck.

The win was the first for the Geoducks over Western Washington since 1996 spanning six meetings between the two programs. Evergreen, ranked No.16 in the latest NAIA National Poll, is now 5-1-0 for the year.
