Contact: Erik Snyder (360) 867-6537 October 6, 2005 PORTLAND, Ore. - With heavy rains already hampering outdoor play in the Portland metro area and rain forecast for much of the Pacific Northwest over the next week, the NAIA Region I Executive Committee has decided to move the NAIA Region I Men's Soccer playoffs from Concordia University (Portland) to nearby Doc Harris Stadium in Camas, Wash. Doc Harris Stadium has an artificial turf pitch. Camas is a small community of approximately 11,000 across the Columbia River from Portland. Sunday's winner will make the pilgrimage to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the NAIA National Championships , Nov. 16-22, hosted by Embry-Riddle University. Thursday, November 3 (# 1 seed) Simon Fraser (B.C.) (13-2-1) vs. (# 4 seed) Westminster (Utah) (8-8-2) - 6:30 p.m. Region I Championship Final - 1:00 p.m. |
