Evergreen Tops Cascade 2-0 |

September 29, 2005 PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Evergreen State College men's soccer team extended their winning streak to six games with a 2-0 triumph over conference foe Cascade College. The win was the third straight in conference play for the Geoducks putting them in a first-place tie with Concordia University. Those two teams are set to face off Saturday at 3:00 in Olympia. Cascade and Evergreen played to a 0-0 first half tie before Ryan Kuffler notched his third goal of the season early in the second half to put Evergreen out in front. Kyle Andrews tallied his second goal in two games to extend the lead ten minutes later. Fellow defender Luke Arthur was credited with an assist on the goal. Sean Oliver and Ryan Riley combined in goal for Evergreen's fourth shutout on the year. Oliver recorded three saves in the match. Cascade falls to 1-1-5 on the year while Evergreen climbs to 7-1. |
