Six Named to All-Conference Team Gjertsen Player of the Year |

November 8, 2004 OLYMPIA, WA -- Six Geoducks were honored by the Cascade Collegiate Conference as Evergreen earned its first trip to the national tournament this year with a 2-0 win over Warner Pacific in the Region I finals. Leading the group of All-Conference selections was senior forward Joe Gjertsen. Gjertsen was named the Conference Player of the Year as the forward from Tacoma led the league with 23 goals. His nearest rival recorded 14. That player was Nathan Ford, Evergreen's "other" forward. Ford, also a senior, was also named to the conference first team. Defender Zephyr Titus, a junior transfer from Highline Community College was the third Greener named to the first team.Titus was part of a defense that ranked third in conference in goals allowed and second in shutouts. Named to the second team was senior forward Jason Gjertson who led the league in assists with 11, junior midfielder Greg Preciado a skillful midfielder who transferred from Walla Walla Community College, and hometown sophomore defender Dan Jones. 1st Team
