Western Baptist defeats Geoducks 5-0

SALEM, Ore. - Evergreen continued to struggle on the offensive end against a tough Warrior team. The Geoducks (3-6, 1-3) never mounted much of an attack against Western Baptist (5-2-1, 2-0).

The Geoducks managed only five shots in the game, while the Warriors fired off 30 of them. Tom Kneeshaw (Eatonville, Wash./ Eatonville HS) managed six saves in a game that had him busy from the start. Western Baptist started the scoring early, Taurai Daka scored in the fourth minute. Daka added another goal and had three assists on the day.

The Geoduck offense only offered three shots on goal. The game got away from Evergreen early and they never had a chance to bounce back. Western Baptist continued to attack the goal all afternoon.

Evergreen will try to bounce back Saturday when they travel to Portland to face Warner Pacific. The game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
