Boise State too much for Evergreen in high scoring loss |

November 2, 2007 BOISE, Idaho – Boise State freshman Paul Noonan scored 23 points to lead four Broncos in double figures as Boise State raced to a 121-83 exhibition win over Evergreen at Taco Bell Arena on Friday night. Noonan, who scored 18 of his points in the first half, made 7-of-8 shots, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range. He also added five assists. Senior Matt Nelson added 18 points and six rebounds, while senior Reggie Larry had 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Broncos. Senior Tyler Tiedeman chipped in 14 points. Evergreen had some high scorers tonight as well. Sophomore transfer Nate Menafee scored 26 points including 6 of 12 attempts from the three point range. Second year David Howard followed Menafee's performance with 24 points and shooting 8 for 12 at the free throw line. Field goal percentage for the Geoducks was 40 percent. They hit 34 percent of their three point attempts and shot 50 percent of free throws. Boise State made 59.2 percent of their shots, including 45 percent from 3-point range. The Broncos were also 22-of-25 from the free throw line. Evergreen plays another exhibition game against St. Martin's University in Lacey this Friday at 7:30 PM. |
