Menefee and Moore awarded with post-regular season honors |

March 3, 2008 PORTLAND, Oregon - Nathan Menefee (So, Timberline HS / Lacey, WA) was named to the All-Cascade Conference Team today with Nick Moore (Jr. Bethel HS / Fircrest, WA) getting an Honorable Mention nod. Menefee and Moore have been the top two scorers for Evergreen this season, with 22.8 and 13.9 points per game respectively. Additionally, Moore was named "Newcomer of the Year" by the conference. Evergreen defeated Oregon Tech Saturday night in Klamath Falls, OR 93-76, the second year in the row the Geoducks have upset the Owls in the conference tournament. OIT has earned an At-Large berth to the Div. II Champs. Evergreen is ranked 28th in the most recent NAIA polls. In Saturday's game, The Geoducks had four players reach double figure points with Menefee and Moore both netting 21 points in the win. Moore grabbed seven rebounds and Menefee handed out six assists. Julio Feliciano (So, Mt. Tahoma HS / Tacoma, WA) and Marcus Whittaker (Sr. Henryetta, OK) each scored 13 points for TESC. Conference press release |
