PORTLAND, Ore. - Evergreen went into CC Perry Gym with the hopes of a season sweep but the Knights had other plans. Warner Pacific overcame a three point halftime deficit to battle back for a 93-79 victory.

It was a highly contested game and was close throughout but the Knights knocked down free throws and got stops on the other end down the stretch to preserve the win.

WPC's Scott O'Gallagher led the Knights with 25 points, 5 assists, and was a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line. Jalonta Martin played his usual solid overall game filling up the stat sheet, finishing with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists.

The bench came up big for the Knights as well. Jeremy Reedal, playing in his third game since returning from a thumb injury, pitched in 10 points and 4 assists and Keegan Cook went 4-6 from the three point line and finished with 15 points.

Evergreen had a balanced scoring attack as did the Knights with both teams finishing with five players in double figures.

Nick Moore and Marcus Whittaker led the Geoducks with 17 points apiece. Nate Menefee scored 11 points which is well under his 22 points per game average. Slowing him down was one of the keys to the Knights victory.

The win by the Knights tied them with Evergreen for third place in the conference and seeding in the conference tournament could come down to tiebreakers if both teams win their last regular season game.

Evergreen plays tonight at Cascade College at 7:30 PM
