OLYMPIA, Wash. - The Geoducks gear up for next weekends rematch with the number two team in the conference, Eastern Oregon, with a 98-70 win over Northwest Christian College.

Evergreen (17-5, 12-4 CCC) sits in third in the Cascade Conference and were ranked 33rd in the NAIA Division II polls this week. Northwest Christian falls to 9-16 overall and 6-9 in the CCC.

Nathan Menefee (So, Timberline HS) led all scorers with 26 points. Menefee now has 16 games of 20 plus points, breaking the previous Evergreen record of 14 in a season. The 5'10" guard has averaged 23.5 points a game.

Nick Moore, (Jr, Bethel High School) and Michael Ward (Jr. Kansas City, MO) were the next two highest scorers for Evergreen. Moore put 17 points on the scoreboard and Ward tallied 11.

It was a team effort, with all players seeing gametime tonight. In fact, all but one player on the squad earned at least a point for their team and everyone had an attempt.

The Geoducks shot 65% from the field in their win compared to the Beacon's 45% in field goal attempts.

Erik Quick-Warner led the Beacons with 17 points followed by Jordan Whittenburg with 12.

Before taking on Eastern Oregon (20-4, 13-3 CCC) next Saturday, the Geoducks will have to deal with The College of Idaho (12-14, 9-7 CCC) Friday. Evergreen narrowly lost to both teams in road games earlier this season.
