PORTLAND, OR - Evergreen Geoducks lost to the Pioneer's of Lewis and Clark College of Portland in last nights away game 57-77.

The Pioneers went on a 10-0 run to take control of the game, leading
21-11 halfway through the first half. After a Marcus Whittaker layup cut the Pioneer lead to six, L&C scored twenty-three unanswered points to take a commanding 47-19 leads with two minutes left in the first half. The Geoducks were down 26 at halftime. Evergreen battled through the second half, outscoring the PIoneers 36-30, but the deficit was too much to overcome.

Lewis & Clark looked strong, shooting over 50% from long range in the first half. LC's Jeff Christensen had a team-high 19 points, with five assits, three reounds, and two steals.

For the Geoducks, Greg Shawdovine scored 16 second-half points, going 5-7 from the field. He had 19 points total in the game. Dwain Hicks had a team-high eight rebounds with four points.

Evergreen State falls to 2-3 in the season.

They are on the road Friday to play their first Cascade Conference game against Cascade College in Portland. Game time is at 7:30 PM.
