EUGENE, Oregon - The Northwest Christian College men's basketball team defeated Evergreen 72-60 on Tuesday night. Although The Beacons (10-9) played just seven men in the game, five of those players scored in the double-figures.
NCC only shot 39% in the game, compared to a 48.8% clip for the Geoducks, but Evergreen was hurt by their 22 turnovers, which resulted in 26 points for The Beacons.
Evergreen (7-15) was led by Adam Moore, who scored 16 points. David Howard added eleven. Greg Shadowvine, who impressed NCC with his 33 points in a Geoduck home victory earlier this season, scored eight and added four assists.
The Beacons were led by Josh Jarrett , who recorded another double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, both game highs. Carden Gambee added 13 points and four steals while Andrew Williams scored 12.
Evergreen stays at home this weekend in double header games with the women's team. Friday they host Eastern Oregon University and Saturday Albertson College. Both games at 7:30 PM.
