Evergreen falls to Eagles on the road

KIRKLAND, WA - The Evergreen State men (9-17 overall, 5-11 CCC) were defeated on the road, 42-57 tonight by the Northwest University Eagles (17-9 overall, 9-7 CCC).

The Geoducks stayed with the Eagles throughout the first twenty and were down only 23-29 at the break. Northwest came out the latter part of the game with a 17-8 run grabbing the solid lead and never letting up.

The Geoduck's Pat Mattson was the only Greener in double digits with 13 points, while Doug Dietz led the team with eight rebounds. Evergreen shot an unfortunate 14 percent (1-7) from the charity stripe, in comparison to the Eagles 78.6 percent (8-11).

Evergreen will have a bye tomorrow night, but will return to the road as they travel south to Portland next Friday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m.
