Evergreen Men's Basketball vs Lewis and Clark 2004

The Evergreen State College Geoducks held off a late charge by the Lewis & Clark College Pioneers to tally the season's fourth win 64-58 on Saturday night. The Geoducks led by just two at the half, 28-26 after the Pioneers scored five points in the last minute of the period. The Pioneers then took a brief lead on an Adam Merino lay up, 30-28, with 18 minutes left to play in the game. It would be the last lead of the night for the Pioneers.

Evergreen led by as many as ten in the second half as the Geoducks shot a season-high 56.1% from the field for the game. They were led by Walter Tucker who scored a game-high 20. Barson Collins had ten points and seven rebounds for the Geoducks.

Lewis & Clark chipped away at the lead shooting a barrage of three-pointers and came within three with 2:30 to play. With 1:02 on the clock, Wells hit his second three-pointer to pull within three again. But Evergreen won the battle of the rebounds on missed Pioneer shots to secure the 64-58 victory.

Forward Travis Jones led the Pioneers with 13 points. Jones also had two steals and four rebounds. Pioneers guard Thomas Tillery had ten points and nine rebounds.
