KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Today's NAIA Women's Cross Country ratings put Evergreen in the 35th spot, giving the team their first appearance in the polls. The Geoducks were given 15 votes to surge into the top thirty-five teams in the country in the 5th of the 9 season ratings.

After Evergreen's performance at Willamette University the harriers also moved from fifth to third in the Cascade Conference rankings.

Junior Ana Casillas (Puyallup, WA) led her team with a 50th individual placing in Salem, Oregon. The entire top five finished within 28 seconds of each other, beating two other NAIA ranked conference teams.

Evergreen will host their annual Pete Steilberg Open Cross Country Meet Saturday, October 11th at 10 AM. The meet will feature the NAIA's five-time Women's National Champion Team Simon Fraser University in addition to two other teams plus the Geoducks.
