Biographical Note
Stuart makes his living as a performer and teaching artist. He has written five non-fiction books for children. His latest, We Shall Overcome: A Song that Changed the World, features a foreword by Pete Seeger. The book received an ALA Notable Children's Award for 2011, and it is published by Clarion Books. Stuart lives in Deforest, Wi, but travels widely, presenting at conferences and teacher trainings throughout the world.
