Class Selection&Registration
How do I get a faculty signature/override for classes that require them?
When a program requires a faculty signature/override, faculty will submit a list of student ID numbers of students approved to attend that class to Registration and Records. This will enable those students to register for that class, on my.evergree.edu as usual. In order to obtain this electronic signature/override you will need to contact the faculty. Contact information is available online. You can often approach the faculty at the Academic Fair, but if you (or the faculty) can't make it you'll need to contact the faculty, either by phone or by email (or both). Some faculty will want to see some of your previous work, evals, or a statement of interest before they grant you the signature. You'll find dates for upcoming academic fairs on the Workshop Calendar.
Can I get in a first year program if I'm not a freshman?
The first year or "core" programs are designed for students coming into college for the first time and the my.evergreen.edu (the online registration system) will not allow you to register for a core program if you're a sophomore or above.
Can I leave a year-long or two quarter program after just one quarter?
Every quarter there are some on-going programs that will take new students, and there are also new programs, so if after one quarter you decide that the class you first picked may not be one you want to continue in, it's possible to change. Check out the catalog or meet with an Academic Advisor to plan your next course of action.
