*Animal Liberation Collective
We are dedicated to the abolition of animal exploitation and seek to educate the public through outreach, advocacy, and demonstration.
The Evergreen Bike Shop is a volunteer-run bicycle resource center that has been dedicated to making cycling accessible and practical to everyone in the greater Olympia area since 1977. We build community by providing a welcoming communal workspace, knowledgeable volunteers, and the tools and parts for cyclists of all ages and skill levels to repair, maintain, and promote bicycles. Members learn and teach one another by sharing knowledge and experiences.
*Coalition Against Sexual Violence (CASV)
The Coalition Against Sexual Violence (CASV) provides resources and creates safe places for survivors and allies to support one another and to work to end rape culture. CASV works to dismantle the systems supporting sexual violence with empowering workshops, speakers, films discussion, advocacy, education and art. CASV recognizes that sexual violence affects people of all identity groups. CASV strives to focus on intersectionality so that one day all of us will be safe and happy in our bodies.
Our mission is to spread organic gardening practices to people who otherwise would not get the opportunity to love it; students just out of the city/suburbs, people who live in apartments that do not allow space for a garden, people who are intrigued by the idea of growing their own food but intimidated about trying it on their own. We will provide tools and seeds for your success, both literally and metaphorically. We organize workshops and work parties emphasizing responsible, ecological gardening practices and the importance of local food systems. The Evergreen Community Gardens aims to form a strong and supportive community of gardeners in which all lean, grow and teach each other.
*Evergreen Aquaponics Club
The Evergreen Aquaponics Club aims to further the education, advancement, and application of aquaponics food production at The Evergreen State College. Through hands on learning, workshop and seminar, and community participation, the Evergreen Aquaponics Club will forward the renewable agriculture movement on campus and in the wider field.
*Evergreen Shellfish Club
The mission of the Evergreen Shellfish Club is to provide a hands-on, educational experience through shellfish aquaculture and wild harvest; to develop and maintain a strong commitment to water quality and our access to healthy marine resources on Geoduck Beach.
*Evergreen State Permaculture
Evergreen State Permaculture utilizes and steward Demeter's Garden - a student-run permaculture demonstration site near The Organic Farm. This group intends to promote sustainability initiatives, ideas, and projects through the use of permaculture.
*Geoduck Student Union
The Geoduck Union is the official representation of the student body at The Evergreen State College. The Union is committed to unifying students across all Evergreen campuses, serving their interests at the local, state, and national levels and empowering all students to participate in positive social and political chance while fostering a fair and diverse community. The Union works to improve student quality of life by advocating for students' rights and needs, facilitating communication among students, and ensuring a fair balance of power among faculty, staff, administration and students.
*Riot to Follow Theater Productions
Riot To Follow Theater Productions (RTF) is a theater troupe that seeks to make theater available to all of the Evergreen student body by producing at least one theatrical production per academic quarter.
Asian Pacific Islander Coalition (APIC)
The Asian Pacific Islander Coalition exists as a resource for students wishing to explore, share, and connect with other students through their own culture and experiences as well as welcome students who may be new to cultural studies. We wish to build a community that celebrates culture respectfully. Also we want to explore our own cultures through food, art, travel, dance and other various activities.
Black Cottonwood Collective
The Black Cottonwood is an anti-authoritarian student group whose mission is to put on events and get resources for the Evergreen community.
Black Student Union
The purpose of the Black Student Union (BSU) is to provide unity amongst those who identify with Black Peoples, while engaging with the Evergreen community through cultural, educational, and entertaining activities.
Campus Food Coalition
The Campus Food Coalition provides a forum for the Evergreen community to address food through the lens of different stakeholders: producers, consumers, the Earth, and the community at large. We promote social justice, community ethics, and sustainability goals through our campus food system. We are hungry for change and we know you are too!
Chemistry and Other Sciences (ChAOS)
The Evergreen Chemistry and Other Sciences club's principle functions are a) to foster opportunities for students of science at The Evergreen State College to get involved in community and professional activities, b) to support and promote science education, especially as it relates to sustainable practices, both in the Evergreen and broader South Sound community and c) to play an important role in the social facet of the student body, engendering a sense of community among science students at Evergreen.
Evergreen Circus Resurgence is an inclusive student group devoted to the practice of circus arts. We are an open forum that welcomes people of all skill levels to play, practice, learn and teach at our weekly meetings. We provide the equipment, encouragement, and environment for everyone from seasoned professionals to absolute beginners to feel comfortable trying new tricks and honing their craft.
Clean Energy Committee
The mission of the Clean Energy Committee is to support the success of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resource conservation at Evergreen. The Clean Energy Committee is a group of students collaborating with campus staff and faculty. It carries the responsibility of representing the student body while appropriating the Clean Energy Fund. This fund was established by the students of Evergreen State College to fuel the progress of renewable energy in the Northwest.
Common Bread is a still point in your turning world. It is a crossroad of the spiritual paths, a trusting space to share your journey. We share good food and enjoy each others friendship. We have guest speakers from diverse wisdom traditions. We sing, share poetry, meditate, and dance together.
Creative Cures is a meeting of minds to discover and implement innovative approaches towards treating and curing diseases of both physiological and psychological origin that afflict the unfortunate in our community and all over the globe.
Electronic Music Collective
The Electronic Music Collective seeks to provide an atmosphere of revelry for electronic music to flourish. We wish to appreciate the history of electronic music’s origins, as well as its future. As a collective we will work on the production of events to spread awareness of this culture, and promote overall joy within the community. What’s your life’s soundtrack?
Evergreen Comics Club
We are a collective of comic book, graphic novel and animation enthusiast. By creating our own comics and animation and exposing new realms of these art forms to our members and the community we seek to upkeep this long standing Evergreen tradition.

The mission of the Evergreen Conservation Corps is to facilitate respectful and sustainable admiration of nature by Evergreen students.
Evergreen Dance Co-op
Evergreen Dance Co-op is a student-run and directed group of dancers dedicated to supporting and empowering the community through dance, meditation, and community building. It is an integral part of the Olympia dance community, holding weekly dances on campus that provide a safe space for students to express themselves and practice embodiment. Our community is centered around several safer space agreements and the practices of non-violent communication. We believe that our self expression through movement and somatic leadership gives us skills for effective communication, which helps us create a more integrity-based community at Evergreen. By embodying these practices here on campus, we hope to transform the ways we navigate the world and become better leaders in our greater communities.
The Evergreen Mycophiles' mission is to broaden the understanding and love for the world of fungi, to inspire amateur mycologists and carry out projects in the fields of cultivation, remediation, and waste stream utilization. As foragers they promote responsible harvesting techniques and work to cultivate a deeper connection to our natural systems. They are open to collaborations with the larger community in order to create an interconnected body of knowledge that mimics the mycelial mats that they love so.
The Evergreen Pagans are a student group dedicated to helping foster a supportive community forward organization to develop fellowship among pagans and those in the student body that seek knowledge and support of like-minded people. We are dedicated to exploring a deeper understanding of our own paths and the role of our connection to the Earth. *Events: Weekly workshops on topics members wish to explore. Evergreen Players' Club
The Evergreen Players' Club exists to support the Magic: The Gathering club community. Holding a consistent space for Magic: The Gathering players to meet and build skills from beginner level to competitive level. The club will host magic events and build a collection of cards to support the above. Overall we're here to have fun.
Evergreen Queer Alliance (EQA)
The EQA aims to serve the needs of the queer community at The Evergreen State College by providing a safe space, resources, advocacy, awareness, education, entertainment, and community.
Evergreen Students for Sustainable Animal Agriculture (ESSAA)
The mission of ESSAA is to create and encourage opportunities for experimental and practical learning in animal agriculture to Evergreen students. This group is also affectionately known as Sheep Club.
Fiber Arts Club
The Evergreen Fiber Arts Club provides a supportive community space for many to come as beginners to learn or as skilled individuals to improve their craft. We seek to empower community members by teaching them practical skill in fiber work and assisting them in exploring the potential of this field of study as hobby, study, or profession. We do this through providing weekly gatherings, workshops, a library of resources and networking with the larger community as a sustainable and intentional manner.
Freedom for Nestora, Libertad para Nestora
Freedom for Nestora, Libertad para Nestora aims to bring awareness of the U.S. role in military aid in the repression of indigenous uprisings in Mexico, international mining companies, and indigenous leader and political prisoner Nestora Salgado. Through grassroots organizing our mission is to free Nestora Salgado and the other 14 indigenous leaders in Guerrero.
Our mission is to create an inclusive environment for students to learn about and play board games, card games, and live action role playing games based on reenactment and social maneuvuring. These activities help students connect with each other and the greater community.
Generation Friends Comedy Arts Coalition
Generation Friends Comedy Arts Coalition is a group dedicated to the appreciation, performance, and education of the comedic arts. Our goal is to learn and perform improve, stand up, and sketch comedy within a spurrportive environment. We give and receive constructive criticism that leads to personal and performative growth. Fun is mandatory.
Geoduck Campus Games
We host the most unique and exciting theme and team games and events for Evergreen students, staff, and faculty to play all over campus. We foster team building, strategy and discipline, fun and alternative activities for all students.
Greeners Association for Psychedelic Studies (GAPS)
The Greeners Association for Psychedelic Studies (GAPS) is a group devoted to discussing the value of psychedelics for medical, therapeutic, spiritual, and scientific application. We are not here to encourage or discourage substance use but rather to allow the free flow of information. Our weekly meetings consist of presentations from members, documentaries, risk reduction information, and lively discussion. All are welcome to attend. We hope you will come explore with us.
Hip Hop Congress
The Evergreen State College Hip Hop Congress is an on-campus student group dedicated to the using and exposure of hip hop and hip hop culture as a forum and tool for social, economic, and political change. Within the Olympia community, Evergreen Hip Hop Congress opens doors to a variety of events, discussions, and connections that we as a group, promote and facilitate.
Jewish Student Union
The Evergreen Jewish Student Union provides a safe space for Jewish students and allies to explore their relationship with Judaism. The JSU will enrich the Evergreen community through the celebration of Jewish culture and history, and through the public service that expresses the Jewish ethical concept of tikkun olam - healing the world.
Masters of Environmental Studies Association
The Masters of Environmental Studies Association (MESA) is dedicated to addressing the academic and social needs of the MES students. MESA designs its events and services to increase student involvement within campus and community environmental issues.
Movimiento Estudiantil Xican@ de Aztlan (MEXA)
Movimento Estudiantil Xican@ de Aztlan (MEXA) is a student organization that promotes higher education, cultura, and historia. MEXA de Evergreen strives to expand the definition of Xicanismo to encompass the struggle of everyone who relates to la causa regardless of race, ethnicity, or nationality. MEXA de Evergreen is committed to the liberation of neustra razas minds, bodies, and souls through educational, economic, and political empowerment. MEXA was founded on the principles of self-determination for the liberation of our people. We believe that political involvement and education is the avenue for change in our society. MEXA de Evergreen is also committed to educating our gente on subjects of gender and sexuality and ensuring equality within the movimiento.
MPA Student Union
The MPA Student Union is the independent organization which functions to serve the academic, professional, and social will of the students in the MPA (general and tribal) cohorts at The Evergreen State College.
Queer & Trans People of Color (QTPOC)
Queer & Trans People of Color work to create a space for people who align with a QTPOC identity to come together and build community. We do so through holding space to dialogue & process about topics that affect our community. We strive to create visibility for ourselves.
Rock and Gem Club
The Evergreen Rock and Gem Club looks at the world from the viewpoint of rocks. We are about revealing the underground world of natural treasure that also tell geological stories. We can then hilight these treasures in our lapidary studio by grinding, cutting and polishing our rocks. It will also be a place to make jewelry. By joining the Rock and Gem Club, you will learn about our surrounding areas geologically and go on adventure Rock hunts! A group that is sure to enhance everyone's knowledge and deepen our appreciation of Earth! ((Not to be taken for Granite ;) ))
Through Russian Club, we plan to promote education and understanding of Russian language, life, culture, history, and customs within The Evergreen State College and the broader community. We will carry out this goal by planning events that connect our community to Russian culture, such as bake sales featuring authentic Russian recipes, events corresponding to russian holidays and significant events, as well as attending local celebrations and events pertaining to Russian culture.
The S&A Board is the student committee that allocates Services and Activities fees to all of the organizations you see here. This student committee renews itself annually and seeks new members every Fall.
Student Art Gallery
The Student Art Gallery is a network of students striving to provide support, community, and education for students interested in observing, creating, submitting, and/or curating art. Art of all mediums and levels are welcome. We provide workshops, lectures and resources for the campus as well as regular shows and gallery hours. In addition to exhibiting their work, we provide training and experience curating, promoting, installing, and documenting student artwork.
Students for Justice in Palestine
The Students for Justice in Palestine at Evergreen support a fair and just resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and an end to the Israeli government policies of discrimination and occupation against Palestinians in the occupied territories, inside Israel, and those driven to become refugees by Israeli government action. We also oppose the involvement of the United States government with various dictatorial regimes across the Middle East in general. We aim to do our part to meet these goals by informing our community about and opposing Evergreen's financial involvement with these policies and regimes through their investments in companies involved in human rights abuses.
Student Video Gamers Alliance (SVGA)
The Student Video Gamer's Alliance exists to provide video game related services to the Evergreen community. Our three primary purposes are as follows: 1. To promote social gaming- We hope to help gamers meet each other and form lasting friendships while enjoying the recreational use of video games. 2. To educate the Evergreen community concerning video games and their social, political, and psychological commentary. 3. To create a space for individuals interested in game-design to share ideas.
The Evergreen Yoga Service Collective
TEYSC is a community where everyone is welcome to gather & share their knowledge & love for their yoga practice. We offer free & easily accessible yoga classes for everyone to practice & explore together. Our goal is to incorporate all aspects of yoga; the physical poses as well as holistic wellness & meditation to cultivate mindful awareness. Part of our mission is to collaborate & include other healing practices in union with yoga. We want to create a space on campus for a welcoming, safe & inclusive yoga practice. Together we can cultivate an awareness & share the healing benefits that yoga has to offer & encourage others to join our loving & healing community.
Transgender Resources and Education X-travaganza! (T*REX)
The mission of T*REX is to provide resources, outreach, education, support, and advocacy for transgender and non-gender conforming students and allies.
Vanishing Point is a literary magazine for the students and faculty of The Evergreen State College that showcases works of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, photography, visual art, and music. We aim to accurately represent the range of talent and artistic style while creating an atmosphere of freedom and non-judgment to both our readership and the artists who submit their work. Our intention is to provide an outlet and gathering point for student and faculty creativity in the form of an online print publication. As such, Vanishing Point will provide a rich forum for the exchange of creative works and unique perspectives among the Evergreen community.
Way of Tea
The purpose of the Way of Tea club is to enjoy and celebrate traditional Japanese tea culture. We seek to provide a mindful space to momentarily abandon worldly problems and enjoy the simple pleasures of good company and tea.
Womyn's Resource Center (WRC)
The Womyn's Resource Center, through a focus on gender identities, foster a community of social justice, safety, diversity, leadership, and education. This is accomplished by outreach, advocacy, collaborations, and support to individuals and community.
The Wonder Collective aspires to inspire wonder and connection within the Evergreen community. We do this by collaboratively facilitating large and small events while maintaining our commitment to being vibrant and open community members.
