The spirit of community service is a long-standing tradition at Evergreen, and new students are encouraged to get their hands dirty from the start. Now in its 13th year, Community to Community brings Greeners out from campus and into the community for volunteer service during Orientation week. In 2004, more than 100 students worked for the following organizations: GRuB (Garden Raised Bounty), Sound Builder's ReSource, Homes First!, Community Youth Services, Safeplace, Providence International Missions, US Department of Agriculture, the City of Olympia and the Department of Transportation. |
