The Multimedia Lab is a non-linear editing facility open to all students… after a through proficiency of course. ‘What is a non-liner editing facility?’ you ask.
It is a lab that allows one to cut and paste in any order (non-linear) any visual and/or audio information, integrate them all together and make a single digital recording that consecutively displays visual and audio footage, aka a film. Students and faculty may bring in any visual or audio recording that is in digital form and create a VHS tape, a DV tape, mini disc or DVD recording. The Multi Media lab provides digital and audio editing software such as Final Cut, DP4 and Peak 3.21. This is the first year that all students may take both their audio and visual footage and edited them together in the same facility.
