Cape Flattery, the northwestern most point of the United States, is located within the Makah Indian Reservation. It has been a site of traditional Makah whale hunts, which would begin in the tranquil waters of Neah Bay. At times, whalers would spend months out in canoes, battling the powerful Pacific waves. Our trek was a little easier.
										After a short hike through the woods, the trees open to an awe-inspiring view. The pounding surf fills the air with sensory bliss.
